ARTHUR GILL

Dr. Arthur Gill Green is an environmental geographer pursuing research on environmental governance, food security, and the application of GIScience for documenting and monitoring war crimes and crimes against humanity. His research focuses on enabling marginalized people in post-conflict and post-disaster scenarios to pursue their future with dignity. He has published on environmental peacebuilding, sustainability, land governance, and forensic geography. Originally trained in agriculture and tropical forestry, Green has led several research teams and agroforestry development projects and served as an advisor for human rights groups in Africa, SE Asia, and Central America. He teaches GIScience, spatial statistics, and sustainability courses and has designed environmental curriculum for institutions throughout Canada and Central Asia.
