I am a spatial data analyst working with Dr. Wendy Palen in the Earth to Oceans E2O research group at Simon Fraser University. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation and a Masters in Geomatics for Environmental Management at the University of British Columbia. My masters final capstone research project assessed using airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to estimate understory density in forests for wildfire fuel management. My current work as part of the Landscape 5 Team focuses on carrying out an environmental footprint analysis of future renewable energy developments across British Columbia via spatial modeling and conservation prioritization methods. With these results, I hope to support the team’s work in developing quantitative conservation and restoration decision-making processes.
