BRITTNEY ROUGHAN
PhD Student, Saint Mary’s University, Supervised by Danika van Proosdij & Lisa Kellman
Brittney (she/her) is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Science at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from McGill University and a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from St. Francis Xavier University. While at St. FX, she investigated the biogeochemical controls of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions in Prince Edward Island salt marshes. Building on this experience, her PhD project will explore the biogeochemical processes underlying carbon sequestration in a chronosequence of restored salt marshes along the Bay of Fundy as part of Landscape 1.
