CHRISTOPHER LYON
Postdoctoral Researcher, McGill University
Dr. Christopher Lyon is an environmental social scientist working on interdisciplinary resilience, transformation, and adaptation related responses to natural resource and environmental challenges. His published research in these areas features local community, landscape, regional, and global levels and incorporates issues such as agricultural nutrient management, community economic upheaval, and climate change. Christopher has recently returned to Canada from the UK to continue work that explores how different appreciations of time, such as considering longer time-scales, inform or could better inform adaptation thinking and practice among different stakeholders. The overarching aim of his research is to develop beneficial conceptual and practical tools for adaptation that can accommodate the unprecedented scope of the social-ecological challenges facing humanity.
