DAVID LAPEN
PhD, Research Scientist, Ottawa Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
PARTNER, LANDSCAPE 1
D.R. Lapen currently leads research related to the benefits, trade-offs and side-effects of natural capital and beneficial management practices (BMPs) in agricultural ecosystems. Specific focus is on development and enhancement of tools to predict the impact of natural capital/BMPs on agriculture, and vice versa, under a range of climate, weather, and land use scenarios. A majority of Lapen’s field research is conducted in eastern Canada on experimental fields, model farms, and watersheds.
