FLAVIO AFFINITO
PHD Student, McGill University
I am a statistician and ecologist with a background in global warming science and conservation of marine species. I obtained my BSc in Biology at Imperial College in London and completed my MSc looking at modelling the effects of thermal changes on invertebrates and predicting changes in their dynamics from a metabolic perspective at the same institution. As a member of ResNet, my work focuses on understanding how social and environmental networks behave and affect each other. Specifically, my goal is to develop a monitoring framework of ecosystem services and biodiversity to better protect and preserve Canada's landscapes. I am interested in producing science that can guide real world policy in an effort to promote biodiversity. |
