Phil Loring is a human ecologist with research interests in sustainability, food systems and security, and natural resource conflict. He draws from a diverse set of methods, including ethnography, film, and social network analysis. His team does research across North America, from Alaska to Eastern Canada. He has published over 40 peer review papers and currently serves as an associate editor for the Canadian Food Studies Journal.
