Wigvilhba Wakas Harvey Humchitt Sr is a Hemas (Hereditary Chief) of the Heiltsuk Nation. His Creation Story for his Chieftainship comes from his ancestral home, Goose Island and the outer islands of British Columbia’s central coast down to the bottom of Calvert Island. Wigvilhba Wakas is a fisherman, research liaison, and is fully involved in all aspects of resource management, protection and governance in his Territory. |
